I Wasn’t Lazy, I Was Burned Out (And This Is What Saved Me)

There was a time when I couldn’t get out of bed.

Not because I didn’t care…
But because I had nothing left to give.
16 years in scrubs had worn me down to the bone.
Endless shifts. Short-staffed chaos. Tears in the break room that no one saw.

I wasn’t unmotivated. I wasn’t broken. I was burned out.
No one tells you what that really feels like.
It’s not just exhaustion — it’s emotional bankruptcy.
Even rest doesn’t feel restful anymore.

And when I finally said “I can’t do this anymore,” I felt guilty.
Guilty for choosing peace. Guilty for choosing me.
But choosing me saved my life.

🌱 That’s when I began building a new kind of life —

One where I still helped people…
But from a laptop.
On my time. On my terms.

I started exploring digital options — affiliate marketing, digital courses, and subscription-based income.
I was scared. I didn’t feel “techy.”

But I knew I couldn’t keep living the same story.

So I wrote a new one.

📘 It’s called Hot Mess in Scrubs: How To Be Mentally Stable-ish in a profession that isn't— and it’s part memoir, part lifeline, for anyone who’s ever wanted out but didn’t know where to start.

I also started Digital Dollars Today to show other nurses (and burned-out professionals) how to earn smarter online.
Not in a hypey guru way — but in a real, simple, honest way.

If this feels like your story too…

Let me tell you: you’re not lazy.
You’re burned out.
You’re allowed to rest.
You’re allowed to start again.

💻 Come learn with me. Build with me.

You’re not behind. You’re right on time.
